Privacy Policy
Last updated October 17, 2026
Tintin & Liv for Kids Corp. (âTintin & Livâ, âweâ, âusâ) is a Canadian company. This policy explains, in plain language, what personal information we handle when you visit tintinandliv.ca, why, and the choices you have. We follow Canadaâs Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, for visitors in Quebec, the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector as amended by Law 25.
The short version
- This website has no accounts, sign-up forms, newsletter or checkout. We donât ask you for personal information on this site.
- We use Google Analytics 4 to understand, in aggregate, how people use the site.
- When you buy our flash cards, you buy on Amazon.ca, and Amazonâs privacy notice applies to that purchase.
- If you email us, we use your email only to reply to you.
- We donât sell personal information.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us. If you write to us at hello@tintinandliv.ca, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you put in your message. We use it to answer you and keep it only as long as we need it for that conversation and our normal business records.
Information collected automatically (analytics). When you visit the site, Google Analytics 4 (property ID G-K9KC02N98F) uses cookies and similar technology to collect information such as the pages you view, how long you stay, the website or link that sent you here, your device and browser type, your language setting and your approximate location (city or region level). Google Analytics 4 does not log or store full IP addresses. We see this information only in aggregated reports and do not use it to identify you.
Google Analytics sets cookies with names such as _ga and _ga_K9KC02N98F. They can last up to two years unless you delete them. Google Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics settings and for no longer than 14 months.
2. Why we use it
- To reply to your questions and messages.
- To see which pages are useful, fix problems and improve the site.
- To meet our legal obligations.
We donât use analytics data for advertising, and we donât sell or rent personal information to anyone.
3. Buying on Amazon
Our âOrder on Amazonâ and âBuy on Amazon.caâ buttons take you to Amazon.ca. Your order, payment and delivery details are collected and handled by Amazon under the Amazon.ca Privacy Notice, not this policy. As the seller, Amazon may share limited order information with us (for example, which items were ordered, or messages you send us through Amazon). We use that information only to fulfil the order, handle returns and answer your questions.
4. Who we share information with
We share personal information only with service providers who help us run our business, and only as needed:
- Google: website analytics (Google Analytics) and our business email (Google Workspace).
- Our website host, Cloudflare, Inc., which delivers the pages to your browser and may keep short-lived technical logs for security.
- Authorities, if the law requires it.
Some of these providers store or process information outside Quebec and outside Canada, including in the United States. While it is there, it may be accessible to the courts, law-enforcement and national-security authorities of that country. We choose providers that protect information to a standard comparable to Canadian law.
5. Your choices about analytics
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works without them.
- You can install Googleâs Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Learn more in How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
6. Children
Our products are made for babies and toddlers, but this website is meant for parents and caregivers. We donât knowingly collect personal information from children. If you think a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
7. How long we keep information and how we protect it
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires, and then delete or anonymize it. We use reasonable safeguards for the information we hold, such as access controls and secure, reputable service providers. If a privacy breach (a âconfidentiality incidentâ under Quebec law) creates a risk of serious harm, we will notify affected people and the relevant regulator as the law requires.
8. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- withdraw your consent, or delete your information where the law allows;
- if you are in Quebec: receive your information in a commonly used technological format (portability) and ask us to stop disseminating it or to de-index it, where the law allows.
Email hello@tintinandliv.ca. We will answer within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, in Quebec, the Commission dâaccès Ă lâinformation du QuĂŠbec.
9. Person in charge of privacy
Our person in charge of the protection of personal information is Tomas Piedrahita Herran, Co-founder, Tintin & Liv for Kids Corp. You can reach him at hello@tintinandliv.ca.

The site links to other websites, such as Amazon.ca. Their privacy practices are their own, so please read their policies.
